Introducing Our Ocean Schools: A non-profit organisation based in the Mentawai Islands, Indonesia, that aims to give tourists the opportunity to offer something back to the country we love to visit providing free education to the local communities. OOS’s focus is to empower the people of the Mentawai Islands with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the modern world. By offering equal opportunities to education and employment, we hope to create a more sustainable and equitable future for the residents of this idyllic paradise.

So, where do you come in? Sol Surf is announcing a Lombok retreat this May (14-20, 2024) where 100% of the profits will be donated to Our Ocean School. The retreat will be hosted by Janiece, as she aims to educate us more on the opportunities we can grant the local Mentawai residents through supporting Our Ocean School. The cost and inclusions of the retreat are the same, and you have the opportunity when you book to add a further donation of your choice.
