What some don’t expect about The Ments is that there are actually plenty of small wave breaks around the islands too! We'll be seeking fun, playful waves for our guests to experience this bucket-list destination. It is a pre-requisite that you're able to catch your own unbroken waves and that you bring your own surfboard.

As a group, we’ll be hunting the small and fun waves that allow our guests to have a good and relaxed time in the water. October is shoulder season in the Mentawai Islands and this time of year typically brings smaller than usual swells, meaning there’ll be lots of fun-sized waves on offer. It is necessary that you have your own surfboard for this trip. Longboards and short boards are most welcome. Please check airline guidelines before bringing your board.

Included:

• Twice daily surf boat trips (short rides on small speedboats)

• Surf guiding

• Host at Favela & representative in Padang

• All meals

• 7 nights’ accommodation at Favela 

• 2 nights’ accommodation on either side of the retreat at Sentosa Hotel in Padang (1st Oct & 9th Oct)

• Water, tea and coffee

• Transport to/from Padang Airport to Sentosa Hotel and to/from the ferry terminal in Padang

• Transfer from/to the ferry terminal at Tua Pejat, Mentawais

• Fast wifi connection 

• Towels and bed sheets 

• Use of all facilities, including barbecue area and gym, SUP boards, snorkelling gear, ice bath and fishing gear
